ΣΧΟΛΗ ΤΕΧΝΟΛΟΓΙΑΣ ΤΡΟΦΙΜΩΝ ΚΑΙ ΔΙΑΤΡΟΦΗΣ

Thessaloniki is a city where the cultural inheritance of Hellenism in the Northern Greece region is centered. The most important one is the Byzantine cultural inheritance. Thessaloniki lays a serious claim to being the most Byzantine city in the area. Its history, it must be said, goes well beyond this characterization.

One of the most important trading centers in the Balkans during the Turkish occupation of the region, open to the influences of central and western Europe, Thessaloniki formed its own cultural signature, which continues even today to express its own characteristically unique forms in culture and arts. While a part of the Modern Greek State, it has managed to develop a particularly strong financial presence. Even though throughout its history, it has seen periods of reduced significance, it is today one of the most important centers of Hellenic life and productivity, as well as playing a leading role in the whole Balkan region.

Thessaloniki is centrally situated in the northern part of Greece. It lies in the north, northeast and east part of the seaside of the Thermaikos bay. The limits of Thessaloniki (which is the second largest city in Greece following the city of Athens) reach the southeast parts of the valley of Thessaloniki.

Thessaloniki is a city full of students with an exciting night life.
